Pretty Soldier Sailor Sketches!?

OH MAN. MORE FANART. I KNOW. YOU'RE SO SHOCKED.

Well deal with it.

It's Sailor Moon, man.

Like it, or I will punish you.

Cleric nerds.

It is really unfortunate that my boyfriend has introduced me to some almost offensively nerdy reading material. The Nodwick Chronicles are what I speak of. An interesting little comic about a Wizard, Cleric, Fighter, and little henchman that get into all sorts of hilarious trouble. I reminds me of the cartoons of my youth. Anyway.
Let's start with my biggest beef with the whole thing. Comics and cartoons? Not real life. Every now and then I understand the need for a ridiculously uninteresting cast of characters, but I expect all females to be badass. Or hot. Or both!

Not to mention that, as a woman who wears glasses, I don't think any character that does should look like an insect while wearing them. In the case of The Wild Thornberrys or One Piece, continuity of style is very important, and I totally get that. But my god, Piffany's glasses make her look like a total doofus.

Admittedly, I really like characters that seem homely until they remove their glasses. I had a lot of fun imagining Piffany this way. (Yes it is heavily Disney influenced, ok, shut up.)

But hey, that's just an observation. I really enjoy it, and hell, I had fun drawing her, and Elastica...some random chick from the first volume.

That is all for now! Lots of fanart. Soon I'll be posting some progress on Jebediah, the comic I'm working on with Amykins!

Jerkwater doodles!

More digital practice. It's really hard for me to get my scales figured out. I'm getting it, but going completely digital is so hard for me. It's really frustrating, because everyone else that makes the change is so comfortable with it. Maybe it's just because I like to complete works quickly. I really don't know, but I'm going to figure it out, by gum!

Hyenadon, amazing predator, even better walking buddy...

One of those doodles at work that turned into something amazing! Trying to do more digital, and also trying to not use solid black line. Both are struggles, but I'm working my way through with new brushes, and a new attitude. Much like the old attitude, just alot less lazy!

Hesae, Priestess of the Desolate Lord.

So I realized that there aren't many "encounter" characters in One Child. It is all main cast, which as it stands is about 4 people. Hesae is going to change this by being a mentor on the route of this hero's journey. YEAH. ENGLISH CLASS PAYING OFF. WOOO.

Anyway, I will explain further in the written parts of the story, and in the comic, but for now, you can look at her and enjoy her beastly arm!

More artbook inspirations!

Since I got great figure drawing books, and the Skyrim artbook, I had alot of doing works inspired by both. With...obvious disney themes. Shut up, I love Disney. I think this blog does NOTHING to hid that. The background may even get a little more cutesy wootsie. Don't push me.

I have really been enjoying using the Faber Castell brush greys. It's been nice to not have to drag my markers everywhere. (Also putting my markers out of order gives me mad anxiety.)

This was a fun warm up for high fantasy work, so I think I may start getting my old story One Child back on the blog posts. There were some when I first started this blog, but hey, I haven't forgotten bro!
